Depression in Patient with Chronic Kidney Disease and Haemodialysis

Depressive symptoms and depression are the most frequent psychological problems reported by hemodialysis patients. The purpose of this study was to investigate the depression and factors associated with dialysis patients. The research carried out in Davita dialysis center, (US based MNC) Hosur. Forty three patients were participated in this study. The researcher assessed the prevalence of depressive symptoms by using the original view of BDI (Beck Depression Inventory). The result shows the level of depression will vary based on the situations in their life. Present research was concluded that effective treatment, caring and counseling can diminish the level of depression.
