The present study was carried out to find out the influence of growth stages and gender on serum constituents of Rhode Island Red (RIR) birds. Blood serum samples were analysed by AIMIL photochem calorimeter for total cholesterol, High density lipoprotein (HDL), triglycerides and low density lipoproteins (LDL) was determined. A highly significant difference was observed between sexes during layer and brooder stages for total cholesterol, HDL and triglycerides, grower stage for HDL. A significant difference was observed between sexes duringlayer stage for LDL. No significant difference was observed between sexes during layer stage for LDL. No significant difference was observed between sexes during grower stage for total cholesterol, LDL and triglycerides, brooder stage for LDL. Between growth stages, a highly significant difference was observed in Total cholesterol, LDL and triglycerides, a significant difference in HDL. Between sexes, a highly significant-difference was observed in triglycerides and LDL, no significant difference in Total cholestero1 and HDL. Between growth stage and gender interaction, a highly significant difference was observed in Total cholesterol, HDL and triglycerides, no significant difference in LDL.
