A biological study of six weeks duration was conducted to determine the effects of two different enzyme mixtures (A and B) on sunflower extraction (SFE) based diets fed broilers. Enzyme-A contained Xylanase and Pectinase while enzym-B contained Xylanase and Cel}ulase. Body weight, feed conversion ratio (FCR), Viscosity of intestinal contents and litter moisture were recorded. The experiment consisted of nine treatment groups with three replicates of 20 chickens each fed diet containing 0, 10 and 20 percent SFE supplemented with or without enzyme A (1kg/ton) or B (2kg/ton) in a 3x3 factorial manner. Supplementation of enzyme A or B to 0, 10 and 20 percent SFE diets did not improve performance of broilers significantly (P≤0.05) throughout the experiment. However, supplementation of enzyme A or B to diets containing 20 pecent SFE improved body weights by 3.6 and 4.18 percent repectively. The relative viscosity of intestinal contents and litter moisture were increased in parallel with SFE levels. Addition of enzyme A or B reduced the digesta viscosity and litter moisture considerably but did not improve performance.
