Neem seed cake (NSC) was fed to broiler chicks (4 weeks age) at 5, 10 and 15 per cent level. The clinical signs observed were decreased feed intake, dullness, depression, ruffied feathers, stunted growth and lowered head in few birds. These signs were more pronounced in birds given higher (10 and 15%) concentration of NSC. A significant decrease in body weight was noticed in NSC fed groups. Haematological studies revealed decrease in haemoglobin, PCV and TEC values. However, MCV values did not differ significantly but MCH and MCHC values were decreased significantly at few intervals. Slight leucocytosis witll significant increase in lymphocytes alongwith decrease in heterophils was seen in NSC fed groups.
