Three anticoccidials viz. Amprolium hydrochloride, monensin and salinimycin at the rate of 125, 100 and 66 ppm respectively in feed, were evaluated as coccidiostats in broiler chicken based on feed conversion ratio and performance index-survival (%), ratio of mean gain (%) and faecal score (%). Salinomycin was found to be the best coccidiostat closely followed by monensin. Amprolium hydrochloride was not able to contain coccidiosis based on the above parameters.
