The pancreas of duck in Orissa was a long narrow, greyish white gland with three lobes lying in between the two anns of duodenal loop. The 3rd lobe was a constituent part of ventral lobe which was in consistently found. The dorsal and ventral lobes of pancreas were found to be connected with each other at their centre. The dorsal and ventral pancreatic ducts emerged from the cranial extremity of their respective lobes. There was another duct known as “first pancreatic duct” which emerged from caudal extremity of dorsal lobe while the 3rd duct from 3rd lobe was inconsistent.
