Day old broiler chicks (200) were randomly divided into 5 groups (A, B, C, D and E) with 40 chicks in each group. 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 numbers of infective stages of Ascaridia galli eggs were given orally to birds in Groups A, B, C and D respectively and Group E treated as control. Haematological studies indicated a statistically significant increase in erythrocyte sedimentation rate and total leucocyte count while, packed cell volume, hemoglobin content and total erythrocyte count were significantly decreased.
