A study was Widertaken on 600 broiler chicks to access the utility of product called Arnmoblast containing nitrogen-fixing bacteria to reduce the ammonia production in the litter material on which birds were reared for six weeks Wider deep litter system with different stocking densities viz. 1,0.8 and 0.6 sq. ft./bird. The results of the trial indicated that treatment of litter with nitrifying bacteria was useful for increasing the live weights and gain in weights of the birds reared with stocking density up to 0.8 sq. ft/bird. Feed consumption of the bird decreased as stocking density increased. The litter treatment was found to be helpful for significant reduction in litter ammonia levels at stocking density of 1.0 sq.ft/bird and numerical reduction at 0.8 and 0.6 sq. ft./bird. Hence, i: could be summarized that ‘Arnmoblast’ @ 1 kg/1000 sq. ft. as a litter treatment was beneficial for broiler production for the birds reared at stocking density upto 0.8 sq. ft./bird.
