Retrospective study on the pattern of viral diseases in poultry in Namakkal for the period of 10 years was studied. It was found that the overall mortality percentage due to viral diseases was 79.81%. The mortality percentage due to IBD was higher (69.18%) than Ranikhet (29.03%). The viral diseases contributed for more economical loss and was accounted for Rs.58,55,222.40 out of the total loss of Rs. 68,91,797.00.
