The present study was undertaken using 160 straight run commercial broiler chicks. These chicks were reared for one week with starter feed and clean water. The initial body weight of all the chicks were taken on 7th day and they were randomly distributed in 8 groups having 20 chicks each with equal weight. All the groups were provided separate compartments in 4 tire battery brooders with food and drinking water under ideal managemental conditions. The trial was done with recommended dose of ImmuPlus 75 mg and also with a higher (100mg) and a lower (50mg) dose. It's efficacy was compared with vitamin C, E and Levamisole given @100 mg, 100 mg and 500 mg respectively. The medications and vaccinations were done on the day of housing. Individual chicks were vaccinated with RD (HV) strain at occulonasal route on 7th day. Blood samples were collected randomly from 10 chicks before vaccination. A booster vaccination. A booster vaccine of the same strain was given at 25th day. Weekly body weight, feed consumption, FCR, and daily mortality was recorded. Sera samples were collected at weekly intervals from three chicks of each group and were processed for measuring the antibody titre following the Beta procedure of Haemaglutination Inhibition (HI) test using 4HA units of freshly harvested RD virus. The statistical analysis of the data revealed that ImmuPlus @75–100 mg/litre of drinking water gave encouraging results not only for better growth but also as antistress factor in summer days and enhancing the antibody titre of the Ranikhet Disease vaccination as compared to other groups administered Vit C (100mg), Vit E (100 mg) or Levamisole (500mg) per litre of drinking water. The results with recommended dose (75mg) of ImmuPlus were found to be the best, confirming that it is the optimum dose for poultry.
