A study was undertaken to observe the blood parameters and carcass characteristics in broilers on feeding commercial probiotic preparations viz. Bacticide, G-probiotic and Improval @ 15g/50 birds in drinking water, 50g/100kg feed and 50g/100kg feed, respectively. The studies on blood parameters viz. blood glucose, serum protein and serum cholesterol revealed no significant difference on feeding of commercial probiotics. The carcass characteristics viz. Dressed weight, Eviscerated weight and Giblet weight were also showed no significant difference on feeding probiotic preparations with control groups. The experiment showed that probiotic feeding could not augment any appreciable change in all the blood parameters and carcass characteristics.
