Abstract

In this study the effect of replacement of maize by pearl millet in cockerels ration was investigated. The results indicated that the maize of the conventional poultry ration could be replaced completely and economically by pearl millet without affecting adversely the body weight gain. However, the lowest feed conversion ratio (FCR) and the best performance index (PI) can be achieved by replacing only 50% maize of conventional poultry ration by pearl millet.
