FAV-4 penton gene (1578 bp) was successfully amplified using self-designed specific primers using FAV-4 DNA as template and cycling conditions of initial denaturation at 94°C for 3 min followed by 30 cycles of denaturation at 94°C for 1 min, annealing at 56°C for 1 min and elongation at 72°C for 2 min and a final extension at 72°C for 5 min. The amplified DNA run on 0.7% agarose gel electrophoresis along with MW marker showed a single DNA band of 1578 bp size.
