A Study was conducted on 559 pullet progenies from 149 dams mated with 58 sires produced in a single hatch and maintained by a commercial poultry breeding organization. Five traits viz. ASM, 12-BW, 36-BW, 40-EP AND 32-EW were studied and their averages were 147.13±0.37 days, 820.06±3.75 g, 1616.95±6.78 g, 108.56±0.52 eggs and 52.42±0.12 g, respectively. The heritability estimates from sire, dam and sire + dam components of variance were found as 0.16±0.14, 0.32±0.19 and 0.24±0.08 for ASM, 0.34±0.17, 0.35±0.19 and 0.34±0.09 for 12-BW, 0.34±0.18, 0.58±0.22 and 0.46±0.11 for 36-BW, 0.29±0.15, 0.18±0.17 and 0.24±0.09 for 40-EP and 0.08±0.15, 0.58±0.23 and 0.34±0.09 for 32-EW, respectively. Various traits were desirably associated with each others on genetic and phenotypic scale.
