Abstract

An outer membrane protein(s) (OMPs) vaccine of Pasteurella multocida A: 1 was prepared using oil based adjuvant and its protective efficacy in layer chicken was studied against a local isolate of Pasteurella multocida. The OMPs were characterized by SDS-PAGE. It provided a protection per cent of 66.38, 59.56 and 63.83 on the basis of mortality, gross lesion score and histopathological score, respectively.
