One hundred and thirty five day old broiler chicks were used to study the effect of feeding Mustard Oil Cake (MOC) as a source of vegetable protein and kept in battery brooder upto 6 week of age. The birds were subjected to three dietary treatments i.e. T1 containing no MOC (Control); T2 containing 5% MOC and T3 containing 7.5% MOC. There were no significant effect among the various groups on growth and feed conversion ratio on feeding MOC. The cost per kg gain in body weight were Rs. 29.01, Rs. 28.82 and Rs. 27.78, respectively. It was concluded that MOC can be included in the broiler ration upto 7.5% replacing costly vegetable protein.
