The testes emu were black in color. The Left testis was bean shaped, larger, heavier and cranial in position while the right testis was round to oval shape and caudal in position. Epididymal region was a spindle shaped flattened structure extending from cranial pole to caudal pole of testis. There was a significant increase in the weight and measurements of the testes during breeding season (March to September), when compared to non-breeding season (October to February).
