Abstract

Anatomical studies were conducted on the macerated pelvis of fowl, turkey, peacock and white-breasted waterhen. Salient differences in the structure of ilium, ischium, pubis, acetabulum and obturator foramen of all the four species of birds were recorded and compared with the available literature on the subject in other avian species in light of their functionality.
