A study has been planned to evaluate the incorporation of the extruded pearl millet (EPM) at different levels (T1-0%; T2-25%; T3-50%; T4-75%; T5-100%) to replace the maize on broilers performance and carcass characteristics. The results indicated that the live weight was significantly higher (P< 0.05) in T4 (591.90g) in comparison to other groups in 3rd week and the breast weight in the T4 group achieved significantly higher weight compared to T1, T3, and T5. it is concluded that EPM at 75% level replacing the maize up to 75% resulted in better performance and breast yields without altering the production attributes of broilers indicating that extruded pearl millet can be used aptly to replace the constant rising demand of maize for poultry without compromising production.
