Language status of Russian Minority in Tajikistan

Russians of present day Tajikistan are living there from Tsar and Soviet times. Despite the anti-religious policies of Soviet government they successfully preserved and maintained their tradition and culture, language, religion, etc. throughout the Soviet period. After the fall of Soviet Union the status of their language was demoted significantly. In the post Soviet they were not able to maintain the official status of the Russian language. Although it is being used in every strategic and key sectors of the state but its Soviet-time kind of mass usage is no more seen in the country.
