Difficulties faced by teachers and students during EFL at secondary level in the private schools of Karachi (Pakistan)

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find out the difficulties of students and teachers during EFL in private secondary schools of Karachi. The study was limited to all secondary schools teachers and students of Karachi. Several research questions were raised related to the demographic variables, such as sex, experience; age and qualification were formulated for the study. The population of the study was large and diverse hence stratified random sampling was used to see the problems faced by teachers and students. The overall sample size was of 50 teachers and 30 students. The data was collected with the help of questionnaire and the interview protocol. The research instruments, a questionnaire and an interview were used. The collected data were analyzed statistically and on the basis of data the conclusion was made.
