Abstract

Gender inequalities are universal and in most cases women have been the victim. This study was conducted to compare the quality of home based care received by female and male people living with HIV/AIDS in the households in Monduli district. The sample included 52 females and 24 males. Results showed no significant difference (at P≥0.5) in care quality between women and men and more than 50%were getting high quality of care. This has enabled them to resume doing their normal daily activities. More effort should be put in ensuring quality care to people living with HIV/AIDS as it has shown to improve their quality of life.
