The association between social capital and mental health (A study in secondary schoolteachers in Tehran)

Therelationship between social capital, health and wellbeing have been increasingly recognized. Alsothere has been a lack of research and theoreical development into social capital and mental health. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between social capital and mental health of secondary school teachers in Tehran. This research was conducted through a survey using interviews and questionnaire. The data was collected from 320 high school teachers, which were selected by multistage and cluster sampling device. The data was analyzed usingSpearman's correlation test. The results showed thatthere werea significant relation between social trust, social support and mental health.
