Abstract

Parallel connected dye sensitized solar module on a substrate of 5 cm X 5cm (DSSC) is designed using graphite sheet as counter electrode. Pt Nanocatalyst is sintered on the graphite sheet. It is compared with the parallel-connected DSSC with FTO glass as counter electrode. A technique for efficient current collection system using copper wire is also described. The former device showed an efficiency of 2.2% where the later one showed 0.7% efficiency. Our investigation suggests a simple technique to enhance the efficiency of the device by replacing FTO glass with graphite sheet.
