Abstract

Fossil fuels are depleting day by day due to exhaustive utilization in the industrialization. The scientist working in the field of energy had forecasted that the dependency on the fossil fuel should be replaced by some alternative source of energy. The biofuel, derived from renewable biological sources has believed to be one of the promising candidates to replace fossil fuels. Biodiesel produced from algal biomass is among the potential biofules. This review article summarizes the processes of biodiesel production from algal biomass.
