Abstract

Various lasers have recently been finding applications in pollution control and production of clean energy. The choice of the laser for the particular application depends on various parameters. Many types of unconventional lasers including Raman lasers, Spin lasers, Random lasers, macroscopic lasers, Nano lasers, and White lasers. have recently been the subject of interest in the research institutes of the world. This paper is to present some of these results in the fascinating field of unconventional lasers, with a view to suggest their use in Pollution Control and production of Clean Energy. For choosing the particular laser, it is important to have some basic idea about these lasers. In this paper an attempt has been made to provide some insight about some of the potential lasers so as to make it easy for the system engineer to finally choose the required laser ideal for the system.
