Abstract

This paper presents the recent advances in Biopolymers and Green composites with emphasis on Research applications. The paper gives general concepts and describes some important uses. Important applications of natural and synthetic polymers in different types of films, membranes, nanocomposites, porous materials, and hydrogels with functional groups such as hydroxyl, amine, carboxyl, and amide, which have been found to be very useful for many applications including Pollution Control. The application of these materials for Clean Energy and Energy Storage has been emphasised. This paper should be of immense importance for the budding scientists and researchers engaged in this important evolving field of biodegradable polymers in energy storage.
