Abstract

In the present investigation thin films of MnO2 of different molar concentrations (0.01M to 0.1M) were deposited on to stainless steel by using electrodeposition technique. All samples were annealed at 623°K for 1 hour. Their structural and morphological study was carried out using XRD and SEM. Electrochemical behavior of the deposited sample was studied in 1M Na2SO4 electrolyte using cyclic voltammetry to calculate capacitance (C) and Specific capacitance (SC). By using galvanostatic charge discharge variation specific energy (SE), specific power (SP) and coulomb efficiency (η) was calculated. Also impedance study was carried to see the internal resistance. Possible equivalent circuit associated with the cell is proposed.
