Abstract

Nowadays, the photovoltaic (PV) energy is one of the most attractive options to electricity generation in form of clean and renewable source.[4] This paper define a circuit-based simulation model for a Solar cell in order to allow estimate the electrical behavior of the cell with respect changes in environmental parameter of temperature and generation rate. A major factor that determines how efficient photovoltaic cells are in producing power is the temperature at which they operate. A general model is introduce to see the effects of temperature and illumination on the I-Vand P-V characteristics. MATLAB is used for the simulation of PV cell.
