Abstract

In this study we have found the relation of pH, temperature and concentration of CdCl2 and thiourea on the film thickness. The thickness of CdS required for device grade solar cell is in the range of 50–60 nm. The thickness is dependent on the deposition time, deposition temperature, concentration of the cadmium and sulphur source, and pH. A study of the effect of each on the parameters on the thickness, transmittance and band gap will help in tuning the thickness, transmittance and band gap. So in this work we have found the relation for the thickness for each of the variable parameters.
