The purpose of this paper is to describe the various forms of the novel renewable sources - Nuclear Power, Compressed natural gas, Radiant energy, Wave Power, and Tidal Power, These have been termed as novel, since the work on them is still at the early stages of development. The advantages and the utility of each of these renewable sources of energy have been briefly discussed. In addition, the evolving unconventional technologies - Waste-to-Energy Conversion and the Compressed Air Production using Vehicle Suspension; as the sources of renewable energy have been technically analyzed. Mathematical Formulation of the Efficiency of the Compressor Turbine for the Compressed Air Production has also been presented. The paper is expected to be useful for the researchers and the technologists in this fast evolving field of immense global importance.
