The governing differential equations (GDEs) of skew plate utilizing first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) are derived using energy approach. The GDEs discretized by polynomial radial basis functions are used to predict the free vibration behavior of isotropic and orthotropic skew plates. Effect of orthotropic and span to thickness ratio on frequency parameter of simply supported skew plate is presented. Numerical results obtained are in good agreement with other published results. Some new results are also obtained.
