Abstract

The objective of this paper is long range correlation in behaviour of BSE sensex and changes in Indian rupee over a period of rising, falling, mixed trend and nearly trendness markets. It was stated that there was a appreciation and rupee and changes in rupee and changes in BSE Sensex during the study period. The rise or fall in the price of a particular share may be due to rise or fall of the market. The market movement indicated by us the movement of the Sensex. The correlation analysis was used to find out the relatioship between Rupee price and sensex movement. Primarily banks played the role of intermediaries between savers, investors, borrowers and faciliated the transfer of the resurces from those who have excess funds to those who have the resource shortage.
