Financial inclusion is the delivery of financial services at affordable costs to sections of disadvantaged and low income segments of society. It is argued that as banking services are in the nature of public good, it is essential that availability of banking and payment services to the entire population without discrimination is the prime objective of public policy. The objective of financial inclusion is to deliver banking services at an affordable cost to vast sections of the low-income groups. Indian Finance Minister has set the ball rolling by articulating the Government's decision to provide essential financial services like savings, credit, micro insurance and remittance, for all villages with population over 2,000 by March 2012. Therefore, the present study attempts to find out the impact of financial inclusion on daily wage earners.
