In globalized arena the hidden entrepreneurial potentials of women have gradually been changing with the growing sensitivity to the role and economic status in the society. Women plays prominent role for the development of economy. Women empowerment depends on taking part in various development activities. Therefore, the involvement of women in various entrepreneurial activities has empowered them in social, economic and cultural fields. Today, woman entrepreneurs represent a group of women who have broken away from the beaten track and are exploring new avenues of economic participation. Women required certain unique motivational factors of economical support from government. These unique motivational factors stand up women to get success as a women entrepreneur. Mandya is the business developing area in which some of the entrepreneurs excel in small scale industry. This paper aims to study the women entrepreneurship in Mandya district and the role of government in enhancing women entrepreneurship in the society. This paper attempts to evaluate and analyze the available support and services provided by the Government for developing women entrepreneurship. The major results derived from this work to find awareness level for women in becoming an entrepreneur by availing the sources that provided by the government.
