With the emphasis on increase in domestic savings and improvement in deployment of investment through markets, the need of stocks broker has increased tremendously. A stock broker is a bridge between the stock exchange and the investors. The present study is an attempt on studying present investors’ perception about stock brokers in Mumbai City with the objective to analyze the retail investor's preference towards stock broker, factors that influence in selection of stock broker and perception's about a stock broker. A total of 372 respondents were selected from Mumbai. Primary data was collected through structured questionnaire. The data thus collected, was analyzed both by descriptive and inferential statistics like chi-square.
