Goa is a nature lover's dream destination. Visitors holidaying in Goa will take pleasure in the large assortment of water falls, parks, and popular wildlife sanctuaries. Goa is luxuriant natural bliss bounded on the one side by the foothills of the Sahyadri range and on the other side by the arabian sea. Goa is gifted with lakes, waterfalls and springs of matchless exquisiteness. They are situated far from the hustle and bustle, away from the coast, in the interiors. There are three major waterfalls of goa which emerge from great heights and flow through the uneven terrains. These three rippling streams of silvery water draw innumerable tourists who desire idyllic solitude of secluded nature.
Goa's hinterland lies between the Ghats and the coasts; it's a huge area made up of laterite plateaus of between 30mts and 100mts in evaluation. The laterite rock that comprises much of Goa in nearest to the surface on many of these plateaus, since the plateaus are rich in both iron and manganese, they have become the scenes of large scale. Objectives of the study are To study the types of artificial tourism in Goa, other states in Goa, and countries. To study the favorable conditions available in Goa to carry out tourism. To study the rate of tourist arrival in Goa from other states and countries. To study the prospect to improve hinterland tourism in Goa. To study the progress of overall tourism in Goa.
Tourism brings about Rs. 2500 crores to the foreign exchange kitty of the Government of India. The tourists spend annually about Rs. 5000 crores in Goa. But for strategic reasons the Goa Government has been projecting only Rs 650 crores as income from tourism. More than two lakh people derive their employment from tourism during the tourist season and hence the stakes are very high. The tourism sector has positively boosted the economy of coastal bardez and salcate. But with it cultural, social and environmental concerns have also arisen. By promoting goan culture through various functions at hinterland areas and showcasing various historical landmark of that area to the tourists
