In recent years, the SSI sector has emerged as a dynamic and vibrant sector of the Indian economy, displaying its phenomenal growth in the varied fields of production, employment and dispersed development, in general and exports in particular. A sample of 135 small scale industrial units was selected from Namakkal District. In the selection of sample units, a two stage stratified simple random technique and percentage analysis was adopted. Most of the respondents are in Manufacturing and processing areas.
