Abstract

Expectations play an important role in the life of every human being. An employee performed efficiently, if, he or she feels satisfaction at work place and feeling of satisfaction generates when the employees feels that he or she is or will be able to fulfill his/her expectation, values and standards from the job. This satisfaction not only influence individual's performance at work place also improve his efficiency which enabled him to progress which resulted higher degree of satisfaction at work place and so on. The present study is aimed to examine the relationship between different levels of overall job satisfaction of academicians serving in higher education sector and time utilization efficiency contributing in employee development, organization development and overall development using Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. Study found that there is moderate positive, weak positive and moderate positive relationship between overall job satisfaction of academicians and effective time utilization contributing in the development of employees, organization and employees & organization both respectively.
