Abstract

Total quality management is the most commonly concept in manufacturing industries for last two decades. Looking into the features of this concept, there is great demand of TQM in healthcare industry in India as well. After the emergence of private and corporate hospitals, there is pressure on government hospitals as well to perform and to provide quality services to the patient. TQM is becoming part and parcel of their working principles for their sustainable growth. This articles talks about the TQM practices being used by healthcare industry in India. This articles also attempts to compare the TQM practices being practised by the government, private and corporate hospitals.
