This paper aims to have the optimal model among the following models: an exponential accelerated model, a simple exponential model, and Holts dual exponential model compare with the Box-Jenkins models to estimate the number of the students who will examine the Sudanese certificate during the next 10 years. The sample included 31-time series observations covered the period 1985 to 2015. The MINITAB program was used to analyze the data, and reached to the following:
With respect to the exponential models, the DES model is the best.
With respect to the Box-Jenkins models, the ARIMA (2, 1, 2) model is the best.
With respect to all models, the DES model is the best.
