Reasons of Unbalanced Growth of Management Institutes in Punjab

The quality of a nation and an individual depends upon the quality of education. Education not only plays an important role in our lives, it also has a role in the progress of an individual's mind. Management Education plays a vital role in human resource development of the country by creating skilled manpower, enhancing industrial productivity and improving the quality of life. Education remained government's domain over a long period of time. Privatization of higher education leads to mushrooming of private professional institutes in the country. There is quantum increase in the number of management institutes over a short span of time specifically in the state of Punjab. The study examines the growth of large number of management institutes in Punjab in different regions and the reasons of it.
