Abstract

Employee retention is a new era of modern technology and competitive business environment. Organizations are continuously changing the environment is not only effecting the organizations but also the employees working in it. A certain amount of stress is unavoidable and manageable; too much stress can hurt both physical and mental health. The cost of attracting, recruiting, hiring, training, and getting new people up to the speed is tremendously more costly as well as tremendously more wasteful than most realize. There are many factors, which are responsible for retention of employees. The study is to find out the reasons for employees withholding among employees in Coimbatore district. The research methodology adopted is Descriptive Research done through questionnaires for a sample of 100 employees. Data was analyzed through tools like chi-square test, independent t-test, analysis of variance (ANNOVA), Regression and factor analysis. Using factor analysis it is found from the study that factors that leads to stay in the organization has been classified under three categories such as HRP, Attrition and Factors Compensation.
