Abstract

The purpose of this study is to show that four factors of the strategy of exploiting the accumulated mass of knowledge (lateral communication within the organization, exploitation of the organizational memory, existence of supportive organizational climate, and facilitation of creativity within the organization) would be positively related to knowledge creation in work teams. In this study hypotheses were tested among 97 top executives and experts belonging to all branches of Melli-Bank located in Iran and who had worked in permanent teams at least for the last two years. Results of both Correlation and multiple regression analysis showed that all the factors are suited to improve knowledge creation in work teams.
