Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between organizational support and Employee Commitment to Strategic Orientation in Special Economic Region of Bandar Imam Khomeini. This is an applied research of correlation type. The statistical population was the employees of Bandar Imam Khomeini Special Economic Region (680 employees). The research questionnaires were Organizational Support Scale of Ayzn Berger et al. (1986) and Strategic Goals Commitment Scale of Klein et al. (1999), and the data were analyzed using the SPSS 16 software, Lisrel 8.54 software, T-test statistical methods and multivariate regression. The results revealed that the employees of this special economic region find organizational support lower than average. The managers find the employee commitment to strategic orientation in all dimensions lower than favorable. The male and female employees found organizational support a positive predictor of their commitment to strategic orientation. The employees with degrees of diploma, associates, B.A, and M.A found organizational support a positive predictor of their commitment to strategic orientation. The employees with various job experiences found organizational support a positive predictor of their commitment to strategic orientation.
