A Study of the Relationship between Organizational Justice Variables and Organizational Citizenship Behavior: A Case of Islamic Azad University of Fars, Iran

Abstract

The present study aimed to determine the relation between organizational justice and organizational citizenship behavior of the employees and faculty members of Islamic Azad University of Fars research and Science department during 2012–2013. The study was descriptive-correlation. The study population was including 400 employees and faculty members, 196 people were chosen via Morgan Table and simple random sampling method. For data collection, two questionnaires were applied: Organizational citizenship behavior of Podsakoff(2000) and organizational justice of Moorman and Niehoff (1993). For data analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient and step-wise regression were applied. The results showed that there is a direct and significant relation between organizational justice and its results with organizational citizenship behavior and among organizational justice dimensions, procedural and interactional justice significantly predicted citizenship behavior variable.
