This research has been aimed at specifying Shiraz Medical Science nurses’ views on the new methods of bonus payment to the nurses, taking into consideration all the components of performance evaluation based on balanced score card. This research is a descriptive survey fieldwork, the data of which have been collected via a researcher-made questionnaire. We have used SPSS software version 18 for the sake of information extraction simplicity. We have also made use of one-sample T-tests. The statistical population consists of all the 1575 nurses of Shiraz Medical Science University. By use of Cokeran formula, we divided 234 questionnaires in several stages among the sample, and the questionnaire validity was measured by Chronbach's alpha to be 0.862. The research findings showed that the nurses have a positive attitude toward a direct relation between performance and bonus amount (p < 005). Therefore, codifying payment and performance assessment criteria based on balanced score card funds can help specify performance-related payment, apply multi-factor sharing scheme from the perspective of balanced score card, and improve the safety sector employees’ performance.
