Abstract

The main objective of this study was to evaluate the intellectual capital based on knowledge management (in 6 sub-scales of knowledge creation, collection, organization, storage, sharing, and usage) from the view points of the managers and the staff of the special economic zone of Imam Khomeini port.

The study population included all the managers, assistants, supervisors, as well as all the staff of the special economic zone of Imam Khomeini port. After the random stratified sampling method, 60 managers and 228 employees were selected as the study population. The assessment scale tools for the evaluation of knowledge management were distributed among the sample individuals and the data was introduced in the SPSS software. Results showed that the managers evaluated their knowledge management of Imam Khomeini S.E.Z. to be higher than that of the staff in all dimensions of knowledge creation, collection, organization, storage, sharing, and usage.
