Abstract

The expression “spirituality in organization” is now immersing itself in all domains of management and organization. Quality of the services received by the staff is represented by a comparison of their expectations and perceptions. Therefore, it could be claimed that these two components are in a close relationship with employee commitment. The present research seeks to evaluate the concept of workplace spirituality as the factor creating organizational commitment on the one hand, and assess the impact of the organization service quality on the employee organizational commitment on the other. This is an applied research of correlation type. The participants include all the employees of Tax Affairs Office of Kohkilooye and Boveirahmad, who are 120 people, and sampling has been done via the consensus method. Three questionnaires of workplace spirituality, service quality and organizational commitment have been used in this research. The findings of the research revealed that there is an association both between workplace spirituality and commitment dimensions (affective commitment, continuance commitment, and obligatory commitment) and between service quality and commitment dimensions. It was finally concluded that the two variables of workplace spirituality and service quality can predict changes in the employees’ organizational commitment, and that workplace spirituality is a more powerful predictor of employee organizational commitment.
