One of the most important issues of human resources managers in organizations is to select right people and employee satisfaction. The main objective of this study was to identify the personality type proportionate with tax officer job and assess whether job-worker fit in terms of personality was effective on his/her job satisfaction? In this study, 2 main hypotheses and 5 sub-hypotheses were presented. A sample of 250 individuals was selected among the statistical population (staff of VAT Department in Tehran) with the simple random method. Data were collected through two personality and job satisfaction questionnaires. Statistical tools such as frequency distribution tables and Spearman correlation test, ration test, single chi-square test and independence chi-square were used for data analysis. Based on the obtained results, the personality type proportionate with tax officer was identified. Results showed that there was a significant relationship between this personality type and job satisfaction. The results of sub-hypotheses also expressed that there was no significant relationship between gender and education variables with job satisfaction in the statistical population. But there was a significant relationship between job satisfaction and age, marital status, and field of study variables.
